Heidts has released its new Superide II IFS Front Suspension System for 1957–1964 Ford pickup trucks. The system uses the company’s Mustang II-style dropped spindle and design features include a front steer mounted rack-and-pinion unit and steering geometry similar to a Mustang II. The system’s heavy-duty upper control arms use threaded adjusters for precise wheel alignment, according to the company, and the suspension geometry provides a low, smooth ride with a moderate level of anti-dive already incorporated into the design. A large, single-piece main crossmember eases engine installation. The system comes with all necessary mounting hardware and detailed instructions.
Heidts will be showcasing the new Ford truck Superide II IFS Front Suspension System, as well as its other IFS applications, in Booth No. 301 of the 2012 Hotrod & Restoration Trade Show, held March 22–24 at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis.
